About Piano –
Learn to read music and play your favorite songs.
I’ve been awarded first place in 32 piano recitals and attended University of Colorado (piano performance major). My teachers have ranged from Carnegie Hall concert pianists to one of the most known live jazz players in Denver, CO. I’m experienced in recitals, college auditions, and complex music theory and composition. I encourage kids and adults to learn or relearn with me. It’s always a good time to take up piano as an interest. My teachers: Alejandro Cremaschi (Professor of piano pedagogy CU Boulder), Pat Bianchi (professional jazz pianist and Head of the Jazz Piano department and CU Boulder), Chad Amen (professional jazz piano player), and Megan McCardle.
About Drums –
I am a worship and pop/rock drummer. I currently drum at various churches on the weekends and I’m a session drummer for Christian songwriter demos and tracks. I’ve studied with the drummer for Elevation Worship (Luke Anderson), who wrote and recorded the drum tracks for the first five Elevation albums.
Rates
Private lessons are $120/month for a 30-minute weekly lesson ($30/lesson). Beginner/intermediate/advanced welcome. I encourage adults to learn as well! I hear very often from adults who have always wanted to learn, but never been able to. It’s always a good time to take up a new musical interest! There is a 15% discount for siblings.
If you are not ready to commit to monthly lessons, I offer a 5-lesson or 10-lesson punch card. These punch cards are valid for either instrument and can be used for any combination of siblings, and can be scheduled flexibly (send me a text a few days before).
5-lesson punch card: $200 ($40/lesson)
10-lesson punch card: $350 ($35/lesson)
Your lessons with me are fun and laid-back. I have been teaching since 2004. One thing about my lessons is that my goal is to teach a love of music and a love of playing the instrument. The learning should be fun in itself – and not just a means to some kind of performance.
